i just use /mo for my warrior when soloing or somtimes in comp arenas, otherwise i cant even remember when i used /mo for another char the last time.
r/w is great for frenzy instead of a rebirth skill, n/e is great for glyph of energy as it helps with minioncasting etc...
although i could see myself using a e/mo for pve reasons

If the enemy brings neither and you bring some, you're going to win regardless...
An enemy team using neither of these attack options is only going to hit you to death. That is nothing to be concerned about.

Im Necro/warrior and I use both skill sets all the time, Im specializing in hammers and blood magic so far. Blood magic is a good way to keep your self healed too.

The sad thing about the world Life Infusion is that people tend to*generalize* and stereotype.
So if you're a Mo/R you're not really anything *but* a Mo. They won't even be able to tolerate 1 skill that is ranger on my Bar
(I had a pretty example of this when I brought my pet in SF to level it up)
Yup I wanted a Ranger really but I ended up being nothing but a Monk.
The reason ppl get these classes
W/Mo
Mo/W
E/Me
Is because there are time tested builds that everyone else use and that work. That's not to say that anything else is worthless. People just tend to stick with what they know and don't try new things.

When i go with henchies with my Wa/Mo I just throw Life Bond on her.
I don;t use the monk skills for self healing, but to protect the less protected. So far she's never died on me this way. Which is a great turn around from the +10 deaths she use to average.
Somehow this tatic got me through Sanctum Cay with no one dying at all.
I invest mostly in tatics to keep myself alive.
Because of that i want to try out a wide variety of secondary's with my Wa once i get her ascended.
But being a player who's played a monk the most. I like the idea of using Life Bond as a Wa/Mo to help out in a way.
No matter how hard i try, its hard for me to ignore the party window. lol
